What’s right now?  Well, epoxy is very now.  I’ve been enjoying working with epoxy again as the newest stuff is much better to work with and can be colored.  The boards turn out ultra-light, strong and surf great! In fact, I am making my own blanks from EPS which allows me to build in exactly the right rocker for each board. These boards are often stringerless as they are glassed with more layers than normal, making them extremely strong and eliminating the need for a stringer.  Also, I’ve been working with Cort Gion quite a bit lately and we’ve created a new label for our collaborations-- GION BATES surfboards.
